Over the years, and multitude of new laptops, desktops and hard drive failures. I have installed the same software again and again until I am sick of installing more applications and rethinking what to install.
Applications that I first grab, before starting work on a new PC.
- Firefox && IE Lite View, Diigo Bookmarks, AutoAuth, (Chromin Frame, Chromifox Basic), Menu Editor
- Pidgin && Facebook Chat plugin
- Launchy application launcher
- Gadwin Print Screen
- PDF-Xchanhge Viewer (This is the free option, that lets you annotate PDF’s)
- Cute PDF Printer
- Git for Windows (also includes Unix style commands)
- 7-zip to work on Archive files
All the applications configured with one guiding design principle, Increased Screen real estate (eliminate all buttons, bars, empty spaces, to increase the work area) and a simple look and feel. Next time I will post some approaches on Folder structure and communication types.
